is me.
Rise Entertainment is a one-person DJ business. When you call, you’re talking to the person who will play your wedding, work party or school dance, not a booking office that hands your date to someone you’ve never met.
That means the details you share while planning don’t get lost along the way. The songs you love, the ones you never want to hear, the moment you want the dance floor to open: you tell me, and I’m the one who plays the night.
I travel across Vancouver Island, from Victoria and the Cowichan Valley up to Nanaimo and the Comox Valley, and out to Tofino and Ucluelet.

Before the event, you and I go over the songs you want, the ones you don’t, and the key moments of the night.
Enjoy the night
On the day, I play your event and read the room as it goes, so you can spend the night with your guests.

How do I check if you’re free on my date?
Call me at 250-667-0804 or send a message through the contact form with your date, venue and type of event. There are no set hours, so if I can’t pick up, leave a message or send the form and I’ll get back to you. Once I know I’m free, I can give you a quote.
Will you be the DJ at my event?
Yes. Rise Entertainment is a one-person business, and that person is me, Ryan. There’s no roster of DJs and nobody else is sent in my place. The person you plan the music with is the person who plays your event, so the details you share along the way go straight to the one who needs them.
Do you travel across Vancouver Island?
Yes. I DJ events anywhere on Vancouver Island, including Victoria, Langford, Duncan, the Cowichan Valley, Lake Cowichan, Nanaimo, Comox, Tofino and Ucluelet. Include your venue when you get in touch and I’ll confirm the travel details in your quote.
Can I choose the music?
Yes. Before your event, you and I plan the music together. I’ll ask you about the songs you want to hear, any that belong to particular moments, and a do-not-play list of anything you’d rather skip. If you have thoughts on guest requests during the event, tell me and I’ll plan around them.
